Ana was born and raised in the South Bay Area and comes from a family of immigrants from Jalisco, México.  Her drive to pursue law stems from witnessing how the lack of access to legal representation continuously impacted her family's sense of safety.  For this reason, she is passionate about using the law as a tool to empower the marginalized, particularly survivors of trauma.

Ana graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2022 where she participated in various clinics including the Katharine and George Alexander Community Law Center and the Immigration Appellate Practice Clinic before the Ninth Circuit.  As a student, she also organized various student-led legal clinics.  She is among the first in her family to have gone to college and the first to continue onto law school. In her free time, Ana enjoys dancing, discovering new food spots, and hiking.
